I’ve got some free time in the evenings and want to pick up freelance work doing basic graphic design or maybe copywriting. But every site I find either asks for money upfront or looks completely fake. Has anyone here actually found decent, paying gigs online without getting scammed or working for five bucks an hour?

So many sites either want money upfront or the gigs pay peanuts. What finally worked for me was to find freelance work on Zinn Hub. No fees to start, real projects with actual budgets, and you can see client reviews before you even apply. Landed a few logo gigs there at decent rates. Just avoid anything that asks for free samples or looks too good to be true. Took me a couple of weeks to get the first one, but after that, it got easier. Worth a shot in your free evenings.
