Free Workshop – Narrato Boardgame Launch

We are delighted to share that The Narrato Team, Sabine Vermeire, Nathan Vermeulen and Luc Van den Berge have developed an amazing narrative boardgame which is now ready to offer to the world!
Additionally, there will be a free workshop on 20th of October 7pm GMT for you to find out more.
See below for some more details about the game from the creators, and for how to join the workshop.
Together with other players you embark on an adventurous trip where fiction and reality, game and therapy meet. During this journey you revisit and visit adventurers stories, in the present, in the past and in the future. You will deal with questions and challenges, while exploring different life domains: the neighbourhood; romantic relationships; leisure time; (extended) family; work; friends and school. The players become connected in surprising ways, through the different kind of dance of the game. You play Narrato on your own, with one or more friends, with family or colleagues, or in a wide range of care settings.
The game box contains a basic camp tile, 8 landscape tiles (domains of life), travel passes, a rule book, and a travel guide that takes you through the various hiking trails and challenges. In addition, there is a wealth of materials to help bring the hikes to a satisfactory conclusion: dream cards, adventure cards, situation cards, emotion dice, wooden figures, pen and paper, and so much more…
Narrato is inspired by narrative practices and systemic therapy.
We are proud to present our board game, which is now in its final stage of development. If you would like a sneak peek, you are warmly invited to our free online information workshop on October 20th at 8:00 PM CET time (or 7pm UK time). Please register by emailing Sabine Vermeire vermeire.sabine@skynet.be or Nathan Vermeulen nathan@bannan.be, and we will send you the link.

Disabled Voices CIC – Help Us Build the UK’s First Disability-Led Emotional Support Service

Disabled Voices CIC is building a free, confidential emotional support service created by disabled people, for disabled people across the UK.

Too many disabled people experience loneliness, medical gaslighting, discrimination, inaccessible services and emotional distress without having a safe place where they feel truly heard. We want to change that.

We are currently fundraising to launch our pilot emotional support programme, which will provide accessible telephone and webchat emotional support delivered by trained disability-led volunteers. Every volunteer will receive specialist training in trauma-informed, disability-affirming emotional support, creating spaces where disabled people are listened to, believed and supported without judgement.

Our pilot will allow us to test and refine the service before expanding nationally, ensuring we build something that is genuinely accessible, sustainable and shaped by the community it exists to serve.

If successful, Disabled Voices CIC has the potential to become one of the UK’s first dedicated disability-led emotional support services, providing disabled people with somewhere they know they will always be heard.
