    Hello!
    Sent a student loan payment to Nelnet and payment confirmation showed success, but my account still lists an outstanding balance. I used their online portal to report the issue, but no update or payment credit appeared. Has someone else seen a paid loan not reflect and later had it corrected? I’d love to know which action prompted Nelnet to apply the payment.

I mentioned that my details appeared in the portal but the balance didn’t change. That helped the agent locate a stuck payment hold. They unlocked the transaction, applied the credit during our call, and sent me a confirmation email. The loan balance updated instantly. Phoning with transaction details turned the situation around far quicker than waiting for online messaging alone.
