I work as a realtor. I don’t know what’s going on, but the number of times I’ve had to chase down a photographer, begging them to show up on time and provide quality photos, is out of control.
Last month, I had a listing. Great location, newly renovated, perfect lighting. I hired a professional photographer recommended to me. The guy showed up 45 minutes late with a drone that looks like it’s held together by duct tape and a lot of optimism. He spends 15 minutes fiddling with batteries, another 10 minutes wandering around the backyard, and then disappears without taking a single photo of the interior. He says he just couldn’t get the angle right that day.
So… has anyone else experienced this? I’d love to hear how things are going.

Even when the property is perfect and you hire a “professional,” you don’t always get high-quality photos. This reminds us how important it is to check not only the photographer’s portfolio but also their reputation: read reviews, check their experience working specifically with real estate, and agree on a precise shooting schedule and arrival time.

Photographers can be a complete circus. You call a pro, but end up with delays, weird excuses, and no results. I had a great subject, the lighting was perfect, and the photographer managed to ruin almost every shot. After that, I stopped experimenting and decided to look for trusted services like real estate photographers in los angeles where they actually stand behind quality. The guys there have good equipment, and they understand that photos need to sell the subject, not just look pretty.
