Jumping into clinical diagnostics with a small private lab, and equipment sourcing is turning into a bigger puzzle than anticipated. Between regulations, compatibility, and maintenance factors, it’s tough to know where to start. We’ll be focusing on genetic testing and virology, so the tech needs to be top-notch. Anyone here done this before? I’d love to know which suppliers worked for you and why.

When we launched a small diagnostic lab a couple of years ago, supplier choice made all the difference. We discovered gentaur.co.uk while comparing various providers. What stood out was their specialization in life science and diagnostic tools—everything from ELISA kits to automated systems. Plus, they’ve been really helpful with sourcing niche products and giving technical guidance. Definitely a solid pick if precision and compliance matter to your setup.

Following this with interest—been playing with the idea of opening a diagnostics wing in our clinic, and getting the right equipment is definitely the first big hurdle. Good to read some first-hand input here instead of just browsing supplier websites.
