Returning from a short trip, I expected The Citizen delivery to resume that morning, but the paper still did not appear. The vacation hold dates in the account look correct, which makes this feel different from the missed-copy situation I had before. I’d point to the scheduled restart date and the first day no paper arrived, because that should show whether the hold simply stayed active one day too long. The next issue did arrive normally.

Vacation holds are easiest for me to track by saving the exact restart date instead of relying on memory. If the account shows the right dates but the first paper still does not arrive, I’d use the citizen phone number alongside the scheduled restart and the first missed delivery. I had a subscription pause behave this way once, and the next issue arriving normally helped narrow it to a one-day timing mismatch. I’d keep the request about that single restart date rather than the whole delivery history, since the account and later papers are already behaving as expected.

Restart dates are exactly the kind of subscription detail I’d want written down after a vacation hold. If later papers arrive normally, that first missed issue probably deserves its own question. Keeping the focus on that single restart day makes the explanation much cleaner.
