Last month I spent quite a lot of time improving my pages and fixing technical SEO issues, but the rankings barely moved. A consultant told me I should also focus on getting relevant backlinks from real websites. I don’t want to jump into anything shady, so I’m curious what sources or approaches other site owners have personally found useful.

I had a similar situation with a small project where the technical fixes were done, but rankings barely budged. What made the difference was getting a few genuinely relevant mentions instead of buying a pile of random links. We looked for niche blogs, resource pages and sites that already covered related topics, then focused on useful outreach. For adult projects, I’d also research specialist backlink resources such as https://ruleyourrankings.com/adult-backlinks/ , while checking domains carefully before spending anything.
