Hey everyone! My partner and I are currently brainstorming ideas for our major vacation next year, and we are trying to decide between visiting Tibet or exploring Nepal. Both destinations look absolutely mesmerizing with their rich Buddhist culture and incredible mountain landscapes, but we are having a really hard time choosing just one. Then someone suggested that maybe we don’t actually have to pick and could somehow combine both regions into a single trip across the Himalayas. Is an overland or combined journey between these two countries realistic for regular travelers, or is the border crossing and logistical hassle simply too complicated to make it worth the effort? If anyone has successfully done a multi-country Himalayan route recently, I would love to hear how you managed the itinerary and whether it lived up to the hype!
