I just emptied half of my wardrobe after realising how many things my kids outgrew this year. There’s a ton of barely worn clothes and books that could be valuable to someone else. I don’t want to dump them in generic donation bins because I’d rather support something that benefits local children directly. Some places even resell items to fund educational projects. Where can I take donations that genuinely support children?

I had a similar clear out not long ago and it felt good knowing the things my kids barely used could still help someone. In the middle of sorting everything I realised a children’s charity that focuses on local families can make real use of clothes and books, they often pass items directly to those who need them or use them to support community programs, it makes the effort feel much more meaningful.
